FLOAT TRIPS & FISHING

Current River: Fast current, lots of natural springs, gorgeous scenery, cold water, great fishing.  We love Acres Ferry Canoe & Kayak Rental (40 min drive) and fishing at Montauk State Park  (30 min drive).  Fishing license and gear available at Montauk.  They also have a great restaurant with amazing breakfast!

Jack's Fork River: Clear water, great for swimming & float trips, beautiful scenery. We love Windy's Canoe & Kayak Rental in Eminence!  Give yourself about 2 hours to get there, get unloaded, use the facilities, get ice etc., and make your float time.

Make sure to stop by Rocky Falls and Alley Spring!

We love to eat at the Dairy Shack in Eminence!

Meramec River: Great swimming river, slow moving, great for beginners. We love Huzzah Valley Canoes & Kayaks!

Belmont Vineyards is on your way back to the campground and they make amazing brick oven pizza and wine slushies!

HIKING, CAVES, & CAVERNS

The Ozarks are famous for rolling hills, caves & caverns, rivers, and state parks.  Here are a few of our favorite!

Meramec Spring Park (20 min drive) Wheelchair accessible, beautiful springs and fish hatchery - take quarters for fish food!

Elephant Rocks State Park (60 min drive) Partially wheelchair accessible, great climbing, hiking, picnic spots.  Kids LOVE this one!

Onondoga Cave State Park (30 min drive) Amazing cave tours, wheelchair accessible visitor center

Meramec Cavern (40 min drive) Open year round, largest and most rare cave formations in the world, not wheelchair accessible
